Co-Curriculars – Where Learning Finds Its Pulse
At RVIS, co-curriculars are not “extra” — they are essential. This is where children grow into themselves, discover their rhythms, and engage deeply with the world around them.
Expression Without Pressure
From storytelling and ExpREYssion showcases to music classes and morning circle time, children learn that their voices matter — even when they’re still forming.
Our weekly music sessions invite students to listen, move, and express emotion through rhythm and melody, laying foundations for confidence and creative exploration.
Culture That’s Lived, Not Just Taught
Culture isn’t a chapter we finish — it’s a language we live.
Through the Sanskritik Deusi Toli, seasonal performances, and the school-wide March Past, children embody tradition.
Our annual Traditional Day celebrates cultural heritage in a hands-on way — with children and staff dressed in traditional attire, and meals that reflect the diversity of our community. It’s a day of joy, pride, and belonging.
Student Teams & Leadership
Our three teams — Valor (Red), Mystic (Blue), and Instinct (Yellow) — are more than colour-coded groups. They’re communities led by Captains titled General, Admiral, and Marshal, coordinated by the overall School Commander. Through assemblies and events, students practice leadership, collaboration, and healthy competition.
Real-World Readiness
We prepare children not just for exams, but for life. The Beyond-REY Programme guides older students through transitions to new schools, helping them with documentation, interviews, and portfolio building.
At REY Bazaar, children run stalls, interact with real customers, and manage transactions — building financial literacy through lived experience.
Life skills are woven into daily life — from tying shoelaces and packing bags to resolving peer conflicts and speaking up for oneself.
Our Field Trips — to post offices, farms, banks, and local heritage sites — help children connect their learning to the real world with awe and awareness.
Curiosity-Led Projects
During ExpREYssion (which includes Genius Hour), children follow their questions into passion projects. They brainstorm, build, present, and refine — learning persistence, voice, and intellectual independence.
CEco-Conscious Leadership
Through the Eco Terra Club, students plan and lead sustainability initiatives — composting, recycling, nature walks, and zero-waste drives.
In 2024, RVIS was honoured with the State Green Schools Award and awarded a “Yellow” rating in the Green School Audit — reflecting the deep-rooted green ethos we live by.
Learning From the Community
With outREYach, parents and local mentors are invited into classrooms — leading cooking demos, story circles, and sharing real-world experiences that broaden young minds.
After School Programme (ASP)
For children who stay back post-class, the ASP offers a structured yet soft end to the day — with academic support, play, and emotional decompression built in.
